Acts & Facts (Institute for Creation Research, http://www.icr.org/aaf )
ooooA&F is a free, glossy magazine intended to reassure evangelicals that the young-earth scenario is backed by scientific evidence. As such, it makes detailed claims about biology, geology, and astronomy. Except for experts in those fields, many readers might readily be convinced that the claims in A&F are correct. But the magazine carefully avoids evidence that contradicts them. For example, there are multiple problems with Noah's flood, such as how the animals got to the ark and how they returned home, leaving no evidence of their travels such as dead specimens.. More serious, why did God have to kill all animals and plants just because he didn't like what humans were doing? And what about the fact that God's psychotic ethnic cleansing allowed sin to reoccur immediately? A typical article, "Did God Use the Big Bang" (Nov. 2016, p. 19) is an example of an argument from ignorance, saying that if science cannot explain it in detail, God created the universe in six literal days.oo

ooo
American Rationalist: A Journal of Freethought http://therationalist.eu.org/kk.php/d,139
ooooOne of the most hard-hitting magazines in the skeptical-freethought movement, this small periodical publishes incisive critiques of Christian immorality, inconsistency, and incoherence. Its excellent writers dive right into the issues and hold nothing back. It also reviews a few books in each issue, mostly by disbelievers, and republishes essays of historical interest.
ooo
Answers Research Journal: Building the Creation Model (Answers in Genesis, https://answersingenesis.org/ )
ooooThis publication is online-only, publishing articles at irregular intervals. It is a professional supplement to Acts & Facts. Its articles are peer-reviewed, but only by young-earth creationists. Its authors, like those in Acts & Facts, rarely if ever publish papers in mainstream scientific journals. They claim that a conspiracy of scientists prevents such publication, but the real reason is that their views make no sense and would never pass real scientific review. They do supposed science by first assuming that the Bible is flawless and look for evidence that supports that daffy claim. In real science, one examines real-world evidence first and then creates a theory.
ooo
Christianity Today (CT) ( http://www.christianitytoday.com/ )
ooooIn this monthly, founded by the awful Billy Graham, one article has the amusing title "The Christians in Iraq Who Are Praying for ISIS to Encounter the Love of Jesus." Before ISIS does that, the Sun will turn into a can of beer; but the praying persons, Christians all, have a unique ability to deny reality and reject evidence, and actually believe that prayer works! Rather than surveying CT's stance I will quote a column about Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Many Evangelicals detest her, even though compared to Trump, she's a saint:
          a. Clinton is not anti-abortion and favors Planned Parenthood. Of course, the evangelical view of abortion makes no sense. Jesus and the Bible never mention it, and so far as "do not kill," it is far-fetched to claim that one is killiing a person in an early abortion. There is no evidence for anything called the "soul." Also, only a small part of Planned Parenthood's work is voluntary abortion - but a little is still too much for ideologues.
          b. She is progressively secular, implying (to them) that religious liberty is on the decline. Too often, evangelicals' views of religious liberty amount to the freedom to deny liberty to gays and even women.
         c. Many religious conservatives still oppose women in leadership roles. Of course they did not raise a peep when the thankfully dead Phyllis Schafly led the successful anti-Equal-Rights-Amendment movement. It was based largely on lies, such as enforcedosingle-sex bathrooms. Clearly, they oppose women only in leadership roles on issues they dislike.
        d. They have a "visceral dislike" of her, and suspect that she will disregard their opinions. They have no intellectual or emotional right to dislike Clinton and accept the foul, anti-Christian, narcissistic, sex-obsessed serial adulterer, Donald Trump.
They reveal themselves to be profoundly hypocritical, interested, like all fundamentalists, in power, not truth. The fact that Trump won the presidency and was supported by the great majority of fundies proves that they are compulsively lying hypocrites who are willing to discard the "Christian" values they loudly proclaim.
ooo
Church and State (Published by Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU), https://www.au.org/ )
ooooThe basic purpose of this monthly and its organization is to oppose church-state involvement. They keep watch in the whole U.S. for schools, coaches, and local governments for violation of the "wall of separation." Recent AU causes include advocating for a woman who wanted her New Jersey license plate to read "8theist," which the state licensing bureau disallowed and lied about the reason (Oct. 2016, p. 4). A frequent issue is preventing charter schools or other schools or teachers from sneaking Christian propaganda into the curriculum. They know it's unconstitutional but do it anyway. AU also insists that invocations at state functions be neutral about which religion, if any, is represented. AU is constantly busy opposing arrogant religious intrusion.

Secular World: A Positive Voice for Atheism (Pub. by Atheist Alliance International, secularworld@atheistaliance.org)
ooooThis glossy quarterly is highly international in scope. It gets involved in disaster relief, but it is not comromised with evangelism like many religious relief organizations are. (Not most of the Catholic agencies.) It has a major presence in India and Africa and elsewhere in the world. In Uganda, the movement faces strong opposition and sometimes violence. Uganda recently passed a law mandating long prison terms or the death penalty for gays. American fundamentalists helped with that evil effort; their motto must be Up with Ideology, Down with People. This is exactly what American Atheist opposes. Their work is valuable everywhere in the world. They do not do their work to curry favor with "God."

Acts & Facts; Institute for Creation Research, http://www.icr.org/aaf
A&F is a free, glossy magazine intended to reassure evangelicals that the young-earth scenario is backed by scientific evidence. 2016, p. 19) is an example of argument from ignorance, saying that if science cannot explain it in detail, God must have created the universe in six literal days.

American Rationalist: A Journal of Freethought, http://therationalist.eu.org/kk.php/d,139
One of the most hard-hitting magazines in the skeptical-freethought movement, this small periodical publishes incisive critiques of Christian immorality, inconsistency, and incoherence. Its excellent writers dive right into the issues and hold nothing back. It also reviews a few books in each issue, mostly by disbelievers, and republishes essays of historical interest.

Answers Research Journal: Building the Creation Model; Answers in Genesis, https://answersingenesis.org/
This publication is online-only, publishing articles at irregular intervals. In real science, one usually examines real-world evidence first and then creates a theory. If a theory is invented first, to be accepted it must agree with objective observations.

Christianity Today (CT), http://www.christianitytoday.com/
In this monthly, founded by the awful Billy Graham, one article has the amusing title "The Christians in Iraq Who Are Praying for ISIS to Encounter the Love of Jesus." Before ISIS does that, the Sun will turn into a can of beer; but the praying persons, Christians all, have a unique ability to deny reality and reject evidence, and actually believe that prayer works! Rather than surveying CT's stance I will quote a column about Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Many Evangelicals detest her, even though compared to the utterly un-Christian Trump, she's a saint:oooo
     a. Clinton is not anti-abortion and favors Planned Parenthood. Of course, the evangelical view of abortion makes no sense. Jesus and the Bible never mention it, and so far as "do not kill," it is far-fetched to claim that one is killing a person in an early abortion.

Church and State (Published by Americans United for Separation of Church and State; AU, https://www.au.org/ )
The basic purpose of this monthly and its organization is to oppose church-state involvement.

Secular World: A Positive Voice for Atheism, Atheist Alliance International secularworld@atheistaliance.org )
This glossy quarterly is highly international in scope. They do not do it to cravenly curry favor with "God."
